Train the AI on your business

Open the Knowledge Base tab. Choose how to add your business info:

  • Paste your services, pricing, hours and FAQs into the text box
  • Import a Google Doc if your info is already written
  • Enter your website URL and PepperSend reads it for you
  • Upload a PDF, CSV or XLSX and PepperSend pulls out the details

Get your PepperSend number

PepperSend assigns you a toll-free number. Open Integrations in your dashboard, choose Get my number, and copy it. This is the number RingCentral will forward to, and it is the number your callers will get texts from.

Configure call forwarding in RingCentral

Sign in to RingCentral admin at service.ringcentral.com. Then:

  1. Click Phone System → Phones & Devices → pick the line you want to enable
  2. Open the Call Handling tab
  3. Find "After hours" or "When unavailable" rules
  4. Set the action to "Forward to external number"
  5. Paste your PepperSend number from Step 3
  6. Set "Forward after" to 3–4 rings (gives you a chance to answer first)
  7. Click Save

Important: RingCentral users with multi-extension setups should configure forwarding per extension, not at the account level. This lets each line have its own AI behavior if needed.

Place a test call to verify

Call your RingCentral number from a different phone. Don't answer.
